Travel expenses for MPs traveling abroad to be reduced

Parliament Speaker Nikos Voutsis signed a decision on Tuesday that will lead to MPs receiving lower compensation when they are abroad on House business.

Lawmakers will receive 100 euros a day, rather than the current 180 euros, as a personal stipend for each day spent outside of Greece, while their accommodation costs will be limited to 220 euros per night.
