Ambulance workers walk off the job on Tuesday
Ambulance staff will strike on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and will march to the Health Ministry in protest at unpaid wages.
According to their union, EKAB, the ambulance workers are owed wages for 10-hour night and holiday shifts in December 2014, December 2015, January 2016 and February 2016.
They are also owed bonus pay for working out of town in 2015.
In a statement, the union said it decided to take action after its calls for talks with management went unheeded.
“We call on the political leadership of the Ministry of Health to find an immediate solution,” it said.
