Ferry seamen to go on strike when pension bill is tabled

The federation of ferry seamen’s union (PNO) said on Monday that its members will hold a 48-hour strike when the government submits to Parliament its pension reform bill.

The 14 unions that are part of PNO have asked the coalition to abandon its plan and for the seamen’s pension fund (NAT) not to be merged with others.

PNO said that it may consider further action beyond the 48-hour strike.
