One dead, dozens ill from food poisoning at baptism
One man died on Thursday after what authorities have described as a mass food poisoning at a baptism last Saturday in Aspra Spitia in Viotia, central Greece.
According to local news site Lamiareport.gr, the 55-year-old died after being hospitalized for several days while his 23-year-old son was also in critical condition.
Reports said the most likely cause was salmonella poisoning as 38 guests suffered from gastroenteritis following the celebration.
