A total of 96 migrants land on Aegean islands in one day
A total of 96 undocumented migrants reached the islands of the eastern Aegean within 24 hours, according to Coast Guard data made public on Monday.
Of the new arrivals, 51 landed on Lesvos, 15 on Samos, 16 on Leros and 14 on Kos.
A total of 8,974 migrants are currently living in makeshift camps and state facilities on the islands of the eastern Aegean.
Overall, there are 57,498 undocumented migrants in Greece, according to government figures.
