Media magnate says won’t attend loans inquiry due to ill health
Greek media magnate Stavros Psycharis has informed the parliamentary committee investigating loans granted to newspapers and TV stations that he will not be able to attend his hearing on Wednesday because of ill health.
Psycharis, chairman of Lambrakis Press and Teletypos, told the members of the panel that he is unable to speak easily and that this would prevent him from being able to answer the MPs’ questions.
His letter was accompanied by a neurologist’s note explaining the media tycoon’s condition.
