Suspected Rouvikonas members released

The suspected members of the Rouvikonas (Greek for Rubicon) anarchist group that were detained by police after barging into a branch of Attica Bank in central Athens were released late Thursday.

Some 18 individuals had been rounded up after entering the building on Omirou Street on Thursday morning and hanging a banner off the second floor, saying the bank had become a tool of successive governments.

Rouvikonas has been linked to acts of vandalism on public property and state offices.
