Soldier’s neglected girl complains to ministry
NICOSIA (AFP) – A young Cypriot woman has complained to the Defense Ministry that military service has left her lover so drained of energy that he is no longer interested in sex, a press report said on Saturday. The English-language Cyprus Mail quoted ministry spokesman Antonis Kritiotis as saying the woman, who was not identified, protested that her fiance came home on overnight leave exhausted and fell asleep almost immediately, scarcely noticing her. «The young woman called us with her complaint, which was something out of the ordinary,» Kritiotis said. «We do receive numerous complaints from various people regarding different matters but never have we had one like this before.» He said the Defense Ministry would look into the case but admitted it was not a priority. Military service in Cyprus is 26 months.
