French foreign minister to visit Athens Tuesday
French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault arrives in Athens Tuesday as part of a tour of the region, including Turkey and Cyprus.
He will hold talks with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, President Prokopis Pavlopoulos and his Greek counterpart Nikos Kotzias.
The agenda of the meetings will revolve around the migration issue and economic cooperation between Greece and France.
His visit to the region coincides with the attack on so-called Islamic State’s (ISIS) stronghold of Mosul in Iraq and the push for a solution to the Cyprus dispute.
The French minister met with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu in Ankara on Monday.
