Police collar Vouliagmeni bag snatcher
An 18-year-old Algerian national appeared before a prosecutor on Thursday on charges he robbed beach-goers in the suburb of Vouliagmeni, southern Athens.
According to reports, the suspect was caught after one of his victims saw him take off with a bag and notified authorities, who apprehended him.
Police have linked him to another eight cases of bag-snatching at beaches in the Vouliagmeni area.
