Convict’s claims that N17 terrorists still at large being investigated

Supreme Court prosecutor Xeni Dimitriou has asked the country’s counterterrorism service to investigate allegations made earlier in the week by the jailed founder and leader of the now defunct November 17 terror group that there were still eight members at large.

Senior ranking police officials have denied the claim made by Alexandros Yiotopoulos, who is serving multiple life terms at the Korydallos maximum-security prison. They say that all members of the group, which was disbanded 14 years ago, have appeared in court.

Yiotopoulos made his claim in a letter sent to Ethnos newspaper on Monday.
