Karamanlis’s new generation of ministers
Most of the new ministers are of the same generation as 48-year-old Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis, in accordance with a campaign commitment he made. The older members have lengthy experience of government and politics, although the younger ones will have to prove their mettle in the difficult job before them. The following are the 18 government ministers who were sworn in yesterday. They include only one woman.
