Plummeting temperatures and snow forecast for Wednesday
Authorities on the islands of Lesvos and Zakynthos declared a state of emergency on Tuesday following the devastation of property and infrastructure wrought by heavy rain and hailstorms over the last few days, as bad weather continued across the country.
Rainstorms and plummeting temperatures are forecast for Wednesday, while more snow is expected to fall in northern and central Greece, as well as on the islands of the northern Aegean, in mountainous areas on the mainland, and in Crete.
