Bomb scare at offices of main opposition party

Officers of the Greek Police’s special forces were dispatched to the headquarters of conservative New Democracy in Moschato, south of Athens, Monday after an anonymous caller telephoned in a bomb threat.

The caller telephoned police at noon and claimed that a bomb would go off at ND’s offices at 1.34 p.m, adding that he would call again at 2 p.m to reveal which organization would claim responsibility for the blast.

The deadlines elapsed without incident.
