Woman, 35, dies after hospital transfer
A 35-year-old woman who gave birth by C-section on Thursday at a hospital in Kavala, northern Greece, died the following day after suffering a heart attack following her transfer to another hospital in Xanthi.
Medics in Kavala decided to move the woman to Xanthi after she started hemorrhaging as the intensive-care unit at the Kavala hospital was closed for renovation. It remained unclear whether malpractice charges would be lodged.
