Ukrainians remanded for trafficking illegal cigarettes
Authorities confiscated 1,557,200 contraband cigarette packets found on board the Goldendri – a Tanzanian-flagged freight ship, which was detected this week off the southern coast of Crete – and remanded six Ukrainian crew members.
The ship docked at the port of Iraklio and will remain there until authorities complete their investigation.
