Turkish jets reappear in Greek air space

Turkish aircraft violated Greek national air space in the northeastern Aegean Friday, a new transgression following a brief lull in activity.

The aircraft – six F-16s flying in three formations and an S-70 helicopter – violated the Athens Flight Information Region four times.

None of the Turkish aircraft were armed, according to Greek defense sources who said the aircraft were chased off in line with international regulations.
