Students stage protest sit-in at Thessaloniki’s Aristotle University
Members of the philology faculty of Thessaloniki's Aristotle University on Friday continued a sitin at the institution's central administrative offices.
The students are protesting a new law for tertiary education that foresees certain cutbacks including a possible end to free textbooks.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the student union said the new law had brought "extremely acute problems" and called for it to be revoked.
