One more missing person found in flooded western Attica
Firefighters on Thursday found an elderly man who had been reported missing by his daughter in the wake of deadly floods in western Attica the previous day.
The unnamed man was found in his home in the neighborhood of Aghios Georgios in Mandra and is reported to be alive and well. Rescuers earlier on Thursday saved another man who had become trapped in his car.
The number of missing people from the floods that hit the seaside towns of Mandra and Nea Peramos on Wednesday, stood at five on Thursday afternoon after another man who had been hunting in the area was reported missing.
Wednesday’s floods killed at least 15 people and injured 17.
