Parliament to be lit up to mark World Cancer Day

The Greek Parliament building will be lit up on Saturday evening to mark World Cancer Day.

The lights will go on at 6 p.m until Sunday morning.

Marios Georgiades, a deputy Parliament Speaker, said World Cancer Day on February 4 aims to rally everyone in the fight against the illness.

“It is the moral obligation of the State and all relevant authorities to do everything possible not just to limit the instances of cancer, but to render it a simple chronic illness,” he said.
