Extradition ruling put off

An Athens court on Tuesday postponed a ruling on an extradition request for the second of nine Turkish Kurds whom Ankara accuses of terrorist offenses.
The court decided to adjourn until March 6 in order to gather more information about Naci Ozpolat, 48, who testified on Tuesday along with four witnesses.
The nine were arrested in Athens last December, days before Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Greece. Since then Turkish authorities have pressed Athens to return the nine, accusing them of alleged links to the Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party-Front.
Last week a court rejected a similar extradition request for the first of the nine, Mehmet Dogan.
