Professor Nikos Stampolides (c), director of the Athens Museum of Cycladic Art, shows President Costis Stephanopoulos around at yesterday’s official opening of an important exhibition of Cypriot antiquities. Some 1,500 artifacts owned by Cypriot collector Thanos Zintilis, dating from the Chalcolithic to Early Christian period in Cyprus, are on display in the exhibition ‘Cyprus: A thousand Fragments of Memory.’
