The second to last…

The second to last part of the bridge linking the western mainland to the Peloponnese peninsula is guided into place yesterday. The Rio-Antirio bridge has a total length of 2,883 meters – with 2,256 meters of it representing the world’s longest cable-stayed suspended deck in five spans. The last section will be put into place on Monday. The Olympic Flame relay is scheduled to cross it on August 8.
