EU has earmarked a total of 1.69 bln in migrant aid
The European Union has earmarked a total of 1.69 billion euros in emergency aid to help Greece tackle the refugee crisis, according to data released this week by the European Commission.
From the 1.69 billion euros, allocated to Greek authorities are 794 million euros, to the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) 506.67 million euros, to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) 119.7 million euros, to the European Asylum Support Office (EASO) 26 million euros, and to several international NGOs – partners of the European Commission 201 million euros.
