Vandalism attack on French Institute leads to one arrest

Police arrested one person and temporarily detained another five on Monday following the vandalism of the building in central Athens housing the French Institute.

A group of assailants, believed to be members of anti-establishment groups, used red paint to deface the building on Sina Street before fleeing.

Shortly after the incident, police detained six people, one of whom was charged with possession of a weapon.
