Quake measuring 4.1 Richter strikes Ionian Sea

A moderate undersea quake, measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale, occurred in the Ionian Sea early on Monday but there were no reports of any injuries or damage.

The tremor, which struck at 7.56 a.m., had its epicenter some 30 kilometers southwest of Zakynthos, according to seismologists.

It was not clear whether Monday's earthquake was the latest in a series of aftershocks from a strong quake on October 26 measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale.
