This satellite photo shows the Faliron Olympic complex on Athens’s Saronic Gulf beachfront. It contains several Olympic venues and a major traffic interchange that will link the beachfront avenue with the national highway. The venues include the Sports Pavilion (tae kwon do and handball), the Olympic Beach Volleyball Center, the Peace and Friendship Stadium (volleyball) and the Karaiskaki soccer stadium. The highway, which is to open in a few weeks, is just left of center. The photo was made available by Space Imaging on June 13, 2004.
