‘Suspicious’ envelopes sent to Piraeus courthouse cleared

Bomb disposal experts said on Thursday that 11 suspicious envelopes sent to the Piraeus courthouse complex did not contain explosives.

The envelopes – 10 of which were sealed – caused concern among court staff because one of them contained a “suspicious” powder.

Last month, dozens of universities around the country received envelopes in the mail containing a chemical substance used in the production of industrial adhesives.
