Fourteen months after…

Fourteen months after closing down for a 6.5-million-euro refurbishment, the 108-year-old Diakofto-to-Kalavryta railway in the northwestern Peloponnese officially resumed services yesterday. The 22.5-kilometer (14-mile) rail route is one of Greece’s prettiest. It has been listed as a protected monument.
