Valery Shantsev carries the Olympic Flame…
The vice mayor of Moscow, Valery Shantsev, carries the Olympic Flame for the Athens 2004 Games through the Russian capital’s Red Square on Saturday, on the European leg of its worldwide travels. Today, the torch is due in Kiev. It will arrive in Istanbul tomorrow, Sofia on Wednesday and Nicosia on Thursday, before returning to Greece on Friday.
