Defense Minister Yiannos Papantoniou…
Defense Minister Yiannos Papantoniou reviews an honor guard at the ‘Rigas Feraios’ camp where part of the Greek military force in Kosovo is stationed. In his visit yesterday, Papantoniou also called on the ‘Alexander the Great’ camp where the rest of the 1,500-strong force is based. He met yesterday with Kosovo’s moderate ethnic Albanian leader, Ibrahim Rugova, who praised the role played by the Greek force in the effort to create a climate of confidence in the province. Popular singer Antonis Remos accompanied Papantoniou to provide Christmas cheer for the troops. Another 27 members of the same department appeared on the list, which was compiled by the Public Administration Inspectorate.
