Anarchists oppose police crackdown with mall protest
A group of some 30 anti-establishment protesters upset shoppers at a popular mall in northern Athens on Saturday, shouting slogans and scattering flyers.
The action was reportedly aimed against Citizens’ Protection Minister Michalis Chrysochoidis and his crackdown of anarchist squats in downtown Athens and other parts of the country, while protesters also accused police of using strong-arm tactics.
