Thieves blow up ATM in Patras, remove 60,000 euros

Unidentified thieves escaped with 60,000 euros after blowing up an ATM in a suburb of Patra, southwestern Greece, early on Friday morning, the Athens-Macedonian News Agency reported.

According to the report, the arsonists targeted the cash machine outside a supermarket in the suburb of Ovria.

Based on the evidence collected by police, one of the suspects had been armed.
