Women cyclists…

Women cyclists in the road event whiz past the Acropolis yesterday, on their 118.8-kilometer race through a cordoned off part of central Athens. Competitors faced stiff winds, whereas the men’s race on Saturday had been plagued by hot, windless weather. Australian Sara Carrigan won the women’s event while Italy’s Paolo Bettini won the men’s 224.4km race on Saturday.
