Greece sends France 500,000 medical gloves
Greece sent France a consignment of 500,000 medical gloves following a request for assistance made by the country through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
The request came as the country is facing an increasing need for gloves amid the second wave of the pandemic.
On September 22, Greece was officially included in the program to create a reserve of critical medical equipment, through which the member-states of rescEU ensure sufficient reserves and their immediate distribution, where necessary.
The European Commission finances 100% of the cost of purchase, storage and distribution of the material.
