Special education schools to close in Attica due to weather
All special education schools in the region of Attica – where Athens is located – will close until Wednesday (Feb. 17) “to avoid accidents caused by the bad weather,” the local regional authority announced on Monday.
The decision was made because of the difficulty children would face getting to their schools due to the snow and frost.
The closure will be reevaluated as the cold front develops over the region.
