Schoolboys amble through central Athens during yesterday’s school parade held on the occasion of the Ochi Day national holiday, which commemorates Greece’s entering World War II. In Thessaloniki, President Costis Stephanopoulos attended a military parade. Meanwhile, Defense Minister Spilios Spiliotopoulos, also in Thessaloniki, ruled out abolishing military parades with a view to cost-cutting.
