‘Admiring Ships in a Greek Harbor’…
A 19th century painting by celebrated Greek seascape artist Constantinos Volanakis (1837-1907), titled ‘Admiring Ships in a Greek Harbor,’ sold for 311,701 euros at yesterday’s London auction of Greek art by Sotheby’s. The picture was one of the star lots of the annual Greek Sale, which brought in a total of 4.11 million euros.
