Relatively peacefully…

Riot police keep a watchful eye on a group of anarchist marchers during yesterday’s Athens march to the US Embassy on the 31st anniversary of the 1973 Polytechnic uprising. Despite fears of anarchist violence, the march, in which some 12,000 people took part, ended relatively peacefully. The full damage tally was three broken shop windows and minor blazes outside three Patission Street banks. Some 7,000 officers were on duty.
