Thessaly cotton farmers light fires for the night at the Platikambos junction off the Athens-to-Thessaloniki highway, where tractors were lined up pending a possible roadblock campaign. Protesters want the government to buy up their excess cotton. Today, Larissa farmers are to head for the Vale of Tempe, which they are threatening to block.
