Athina Kousteni

Born in 1962, Athina Kousteni graduated in physics and English from Parisian universities and went on to do an MA in astrophysics and space technology as well as English. After gaining a doctorate in astrophysics, she became a researcher and lecturer at the Paris Observatory. She heads research into the Saturnian and Plutonian systems as well as being in charge of observations of the planetary systems made by the infrared satellite. She is also the mother of a 3-year-old girl, Callista.
