New steel footbridge…
The new steel footbridge spanning one of the busiest points of Mesogeion Avenue in Athens was closed off yesterday for repairs to its wooden deck. Designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, who created the roof for the capital’s main Olympic Stadium, the bridge was inaugurated last year.
