A yacht sits peacefully…
A yacht sits peacefully in Aghios Nikolaos harbor on the Ionian island of Zakynthos yesterday as a forest fire rages in the background. High winds fanned the flames and the blaze came close to reaching houses and a gas station nearby, but was eventually put out by firefighters before it led to any widespread property damage. No injuries were reported. Zakynthos is a popular tourist destination known for its lush vegetation, but forest fires are fairly common there.
