Negative effects of using plastics

Disposable items comprise at least 10-15 percent of all garbage, representing an enormous waste of human labor and natural resources. Health concerns also abound, for several scientific studies have found that chemical substances in plastic packaging (such as disphenol A) are linked to cancer. Cost is another important factor; although disposables are usually cheap, buying them means throwing money away. If we are to live in a way that respects humanity and its environment, we should avoid products like plastic cutlery or non-rechargeable batteries and reject disposables such as throwaway clothing, which we don’t really need, in favor of products that create less garbage, such as environmentally friendly diapers and biodegradable work clothes.
