A formation of jets from Britain’s Red Arrows aerobatic team performs over the Palaio Faliron coast, southern Athens, yesterday. The flights marked the hosting of Greece’s first airshow called ‘Archangel 2005,’ organized by the Greek air force. It will be held from September 16-19 in Tanagra, northwest of Athens. Tens of thousands stopped along the shoreline to admire the daring acts that filled the sky with red, white and blue colors. Traffic backed up, with some drivers sticking their arms out of car windows in order to take a better snapshot of the action using their mobile phones.
