Hundreds of immigrants demonstrated in central Athens on Saturday protesting an immigration law they say is excessively restrictive. Joined by left-wing groups, the migrants marched to Parliament on World Human Rights Day. The bill foresees a 900-euro application fee for five-year residence permits and will encourage exploitation of migrants, the demonstrators said. There were an estimated 1.1 million migrants living in Greece last year.
