The CEO of Vodafone Greece, Giorgos Koronias, prepares to testify before Parliament’s transparency committee yesterday. During six hours of testimony, Koronias said he did not know about the phone-tapping software discovered in Greek Vodafone centers. He also said he suspected the involvement of a foreign organization, claiming ‘such know-how does not exist in Greece.’ Koronias also said it was unlikely a senior Vodafone employee who committed suicide in March 2005 discovered the surveillance.
