Stars bear the names of top astronomy students
The International Astronomy Society agreed in 2001 to allow the top student in the astronomy competition to have a star named after him or her. Here is a sampling: Papastergis Manolis is found in the Gemini constellation. Hatzopoulos Emmanouil 57 Gam is in Andromeda. Ioannis Kamaretsos is in the constellation of Hydra. Vassilios Sideriadis is in the Sculptor constellation, and Golfinopoulou Nikolena is the Ursa Major.
