A full moon rises…
A full moon rises over the Propylaea, the gateway to the monuments of the Acropolis, late on Tuesday. Around the corner, at the foot of the Acropolis, is the outdoor ancient Herod Atticus Theater. Officials will closed the 1,800-year-old theater in August to hold emergency reconstruction work. A major part of the work will focus on the entrance which has suffered the worse damage and poses a potential threat to the overall structure.
