Greek long jumper…

Greek long jumper Louis Tsatoumas lands in the sand pit yesterday at the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden. Tsatoumas only managed one valid jump out of six and finished eighth in the competition after having qualified for the final with the third-best performance. Greece’s other men’s long jumper in the competition, Asterios Nousios, failed to qualify for the last round after coming last following his first three jumps. There was better news for Greece in the women’s 400-meter hurdles as Olympic gold medalist Fani Halkia qualified for the final of the event today with the fastest time.
